I bring in my son for water rehab. I joined just after we started rehab. I've done exercise all my life and I knew I needed to get back into the gym. I had a 5-month gap in my training.
When I come to Beatty Park everything looks beautiful. Clean toilets, Admin, the staff, the food. everything. I'm probably here five times a week. The music is beautiful. Sometimes you can be down and out, but you come here, and the music lifts you up. Once you leave here you feel really good, energized, fresh. Go down and have a nice shower in the beautiful clean bathrooms.
I do my own program. I gym every time while my son does rehab in the pool with a physio. I haven’t tried the classes yet. I've spoken to a couple personal trainers from Beatty, Yvi helped me realised the weights are good to strengthen my body up. I was doing too much cardio, and nothing was changing. Now that I'm doing weights I'm noticing improvements in my body. There's always staff around in the gym. If you are ever stuck, they’re always there to help. They're always emptying the bins and doing the cleaning. Matt is awesome with the cleaning. I just love it you know. It saved my son, and it saved me. Helped me get rid of all that stress and anxiety.
