Welcome to Beatty Park Swim School

In Western Australia children are frequently exposed to a variety of aquatic environments. With our abundant beaches, rivers, water playgrounds and both public and backyard swimming pools it is vital that children are provided with the opportunity to develop effective water safety skills. Learning to swim is a central component of this process and also enables children to enjoy the advantages afforded by the climate and natural surroundings in our State. Beatty Park Swim School is one of the largest Learn-to-Swim programs in Western Australia. With an extensive range of classes available to suit all levels of skill and confidence, the Swim School will certainly have a program to suit your requirements.

Parent and Baby classes are a fantastic way of introducing your infant to the wonders of swimming. Our Under 5 and Over 5 lessons follow an individualized and structured program from beginners to basic squad level. Our Angelfish Program for people with disability (students  from 3 years old to Adults) provides individuals with a life-long skill which will enable them to participate in a wide range of aquatic activities with a focus on integration. Adult classes are available for learn to swim or improvement of technique and/or fitness levels.

Small class sizes, an indoor heated pool and an interactive environment provide optimum learning conditions. Our instructors are all Austswim or Swim Australia certified, experienced and committed to their profession. All teachers regularly participate in training and workshops.

Home Portal

The Home Portal is available for all children over the age of 3 years who are currently enrolled in classes. To sign up you will just need your membership number, post code, date of birth and email address. If you have more than one child, you can add them all to one single Home Portal account. After our teachers complete their poolside assessments, data is automatically uploaded to Home Portal, and at the end of the shift all individual pupil progress will be visible to you at home. You will be able to see all competencies for your child's level along with a rating provided by the teacher. The completion date of the level is recorded and previous assessments are stored as a 'Record of Achievement'. When your child is ready to progress to the next level you can make your class change through the Home Portal where you will be provided with a list of available classes.

Enrolment Information

The Swim School commenced classes after the redevelopment on 23 July 2012, with a new administration structure to ensure we provide an innovative and simple system for our clients.

Our program runs from the start of February to mid December without breaking for school holidays. This improves continuity and consistency which research shows is fundamental for effective teaching and provides the opportunity for students to move on to the next level as soon as they are ready to do so. It also eliminates the need to re-enrol every term. In the future, we are hoping to offer the option of online changes and re-enrolments for clients who have chosen to have a break from classes. Clients can withdraw and join classes at any time throughout the year (48 hours notice prior to your next scheduled direct debit payment will be required for withdrawals from the program with the exception of medical reasons - see Swim School Policies for further details).

All payments are in the form of a a regular direct debit every four weeks from your nominated bank account. We hope that this will make the administration procedures simple and less time consuming for our clients. It also ensures that our staff can focus on the most important aspect of our program - the students. Please click on link below to access enrolment forms.

Payment of fees
