Beatty Park Reopening FAQs

Published: Tuesday, 19 May 2020 at 12:39:40 PM

Update: 29.05.20;  Phase 3 of WA roadmap for the easing of restrictions. The team at Beatty Park are just as excited as you are! More information will be communicated next week as we plan our reopening inline with Phase 3 guidelines. We look forward to seeing you all back in the Centre very soon

We are excited to confirm Beatty Park is getting ready to reopen this Thursday 21 May for our current members.

The introduction of the Government’s ‘Phase 2’ roadmap restrictions have allowed us to look at reopening the indoor 25m pool, outdoor 50m pool and the Group Fitness Studio 1 for 20 people at a time.

The health and wellbeing of our patrons and staff is our priority and we have made significant changes to adhere to these new restrictions. As the restrictions will heavily impact on the facility operations we are used to, we have developed a trial phase which will start on Thursday 21 May and be reviewed by the 5 June. Staff will be carefully monitoring safety procedures and implementing our thorough new cleaning protocols to ensure the wellbeing of all users and we appreciate your patience and support during this time..

As of Tuesday 26 May Multi Entry card holders will be able to book in to 25m and 50m pool sessions. Please see below for more information and booking instructions.

Change rooms are unable to be used due to the restrictions so if you decide to book in please come dressed ready to go for your activity.

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

With the easing of COVID-19 related restrictions from 18 May, parts of Beatty Park Leisure Centre are allowed to reopen.

The health and wellbeing of our patrons and staff is our priority and we have made significant changes to adhere to these new restrictions. As the requirements will heavily impact on the facility operations we are used to, we have developed a trial phase which will start on 21 May, and be reviewed by 5 June.

Staff will be carefully monitoring safety procedures to ensure the wellbeing of all users. Any changes will be revised and implemented in line with additional health advice and State Government Roadmap announcements.

Yes, the safety of everyone is our priority. If you are not adhering to social distancing rules you will be asked to leave.

We are all in this together, any abuse of our staff or patrons will not be tolerated.

What social distancing measures has Beatty Park put in place?

We are just as excited as you are to reopen the doors, but please do not high five, hug or shake hands with others. The Centre will look a little different to how you saw it last, with socially distanced markings on the floor and protective screens at Customer Service desks. We also encourage all members to use EFTPOS facilities instead of cash.

What additional cleaning has been implemented?

Beatty Park has installed multiple hand sanitising stations. As you enter the building, you will be required to sanitise your hands.

We have allowed for adequate cleaning time in between Group Fitness classes and swimming sessions to ensure a thorough clean is completed before the next sessions commences. All shared equipment will be disinfected and cleaned between use. We have increased our cleaning roster.

Why isn't the gym open?

The State Governments Roadmap for Phase 2 easing of restrictions does not allow for this.
