Discover Beatty Park

Beatty Park Leisure Centre is located 3 km north of Perth CBD, and was originally built for the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games and celebrated 50 years of operation in 2012. It is owned and operated by the City of Vincent. The immediate community residing within the City of Vincent has a population of some 36,000+ people, however, the Centre draws from a much larger catchment area attracting participants from throughout Perth and Western Australia. Approximately 860,000 people visited Beatty Park Leisure Centre in 2015/16.

A total refurbishment took place in 1993, with the best of the old being combined with an exciting new facility. Beatty Park Leisure Centre re-opened in July 1994 and comprised a 50 metre 8-lane outdoor heated pool, a 30 metre heated dive pool, a 25 metre heated indoor lap pool with adjoining water playground, water slides,  freeform pool, sauna, spa and steam room, gymnasium, aerobics room, circuit gym, retail shop, cafe, crèche, office space and a series of activity rooms. The Centre also had spectator seating for approximately 5000 people.

A $17 million dollar redevelopment of the facility commenced in late 2011, after nearly 6 years of planning. This was completed in March 2013. This long awaited upgrade will ensure that Beatty Park continues to meet and exceed the expectations of its patrons and that It remains a state-of-the-art recreation facility and a well-managed, profitable asset for our ratepayers.
